ABOUT
Elijah Harrison is a writer, book artist, and printmaker based in Toronto. Their practice currently revolves around publication based work, and they publish experimental, collaborative publications through their recently launched press, Glass Creature Editions.
Elijah has a BFA in Criticism & Curatorial Practice from OCAD University, where they minored in and found a love for printmaking and publications. They have written essays and articles for critical and literary journals, including Book Arts Canada, Pulse, and Journal of Visual and Critical Studies.

The long stitch book was common to accountants and record keepers in 16th Century Italy. We will construct a modern variation using the long stitch method, with multiple sections. This sewing method has rows of thread on the spine that serve as a decorative element as well as the structure. Participants will go home with a completed book.
